Hadestown Brooklyn Theatre reviews
Great show; so late!
When Madonna hadn't yet taken the stage at 11:30, i was contemplating just going home. I was already so tired and up later than usual. Madonna was the music of my coming of age which puts me near 40 and unaccustomed to being out of the house past 10 let alone seeing a show with a 10:30 start time. She finally came on not long after I considered bailing and it was a fantastic show. There were some slow bits where she chatted with the audience and I don't blame her for needing a break from the physically demanding performance but it was slow and a little boring. The rest of the show more than made up for those bits and I forgave her but man oh man, getting home after 3am was ROUGH and I'm not completely recovered 4 days later. Still! once in a lifetime experience and I'm so glad I was there for it! And if the start time had been 8:30 instead of 10:30 i wouldn't have even had the chance since I got someone's ticket who couldn't swing that change.
